AAF Augusta is a local affiliate of the American Advertising Federation. The AAF, headquartered in Washington, D.C., acts as the “Unifying Voice for Advertising.” The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 40,000 professionals in the advertising industry.

AFCEA Augusta-Fort Gordon Small Business Roundtable

Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, information technology, intelligence, and global security. The Small Business Roundtable was formed to bring small and large businesses, local leaders, and entrepreneurs together to make the Augusta-Fort Gordon area more collaborative.

ATDC @ Augusta

The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), a program of the Georgia Institute of Technology, is the state of Georgia’s technology startup incubator. Founded in 1980 by the Georgia General Assembly, which funds it each year, ATDC’s mission is to work with entrepreneurs in Georgia to help them learn, launch, scale, and succeed in the creation of viable, disruptive technology companies. Since its founding, ATDC has grown to become one of the longest running and most successful university-affiliated incubators in the United States, with its graduate startup companies raising nearly $3 billion in investment financing and generating more than $12 billion in revenue in the state of Georgia.

A monthly networking and workshop meetup where community leaders, designers, and developers of all kinds come together. As a community we are here to learn, make connections, and talk tech tips, tricks and hacks. We also discuss and work on building community whether it is development effort for non-profits for teaching classes for students. We are interested in developing Augusta’s developer community.

Augusta SQL and BI Users Group

Augusta’s BIG on technology, and we help to foster Augusta’s technology presence by hosting this technical user group focused on Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and much more. Our meetings aim to provide users of all skill levels an opportunity to learn from and interact with industry professionals from within the region, as well as provide networking with others in the field in this area. Whether you are a seasoned community professional, student, or just interested in learning what SQL Server is all about, this is the place to be.

Brown Girls in Tech

We empower and connect women and girls of color in the Augusta area who are entrepreneurs in technology and/or conduct business using a digital platform.


BSidesAugusta is part of the Security B-sides (BSides) phenomenon, a worldwide community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. BSidesAugusta holds an annual conference in the Fall with the goals of providing a safe platform for relevant and interesting talks, facilitating collaboration among professionals with diverse experience levels, and keeping the per-attendee cost affordable.


The RunCode programming challenge site presents members with a broad range of problems in both difficulty and subject areas. Our goal is to provide enough programming challenges to entertain both new and veteran programmers. We provide access to a slack channel where individuals can seek help or hints from the administrators or others who may have already solved the challenge they are currently working.

The Greater Augusta Information Systems Security Association

Founded in April of 2006, the ISSA is Augusta’s oldest and one of its most active information security groups. The group meets at least once a quarter and features extremely high quality speakers. Meetings are typically held at Augusta University. Take a look at the front page for the latest meeting announcement.


IncubatorX aims to bring together innovators of the Augusta University community, facilitate the development of their ideas, and connect them to Augusta’s startup community. We hope to foster a startup culture at Augusta University and develop a framework by which students and faculty can pursue and collaborate on projects aimed at bringing innovative products to market.

MCPA CSRA – Military Cyber Professionals Association

The Military Cyber Professionals Association is dedicated to developing the American military cyber profession and investing in our nation’s future through STEM education.

PyAugusta – The CSRA’s Python User Group

PyAugusta is a community of Python coders in the CSRA dedicated to expanding and sharing their mastery of the Python programming language. Join us for events, tutorials, presentations, sprints, and more. All skill levels are invited to attend. Data science, web development, networking, hardware coding, and more. inspires ideas, creates companies, and builds community. Founded in 2012, is a division of Hack Augusta, inc., non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to growing a culture of innovation and collaboration. We serve over 10,000 people in the Greater Augusta MSA throughout our events and programs. We have 80 members and have helped 60 entrepreneurs grow 32 companies that create 90 jobs and a $7,000,000 annual economic impact in our community.
